The Indian Society of HSE Professionals (i-HSE) was founded by eight senior HSE (Occupational Health, Safety and Environment)  Professionals and experts in their own domain, from industry and academia. Put together, we bring experience of more than 200 yrs from industry/academia.

And our Mission is to provide unique & quality services to industry & society through well-defined sustainable strategies led by qualified & experienced professional in the field, to achieve global HSE standards.

We wish to facilitate enhancing the capabilities of practicing HSE professionals (both National & International) with the objective of improving quality of work-life. We intend to create platform for sharing the global best practices in the field of HSE & bring about qualitative changes in the extant safety culture of the organization / country as a whole.

We also wish to undertake project & research works in all areas of Health, Safety & Environment for the benefit of Industry & Academic Institutions within the country & abroad. Our intention is also to help MSMEs & Industry to achieve business excellence by practicing & imbibing best HSE practices. We will be organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, brainstorming sessions and other programs within the country & abroad in the field of Occupational Health, Environment & Safety. We also wish to create a core team of HSE practitioners within the country devoted to achieve excellence in all spheres of business.

The Society plans to share and disseminate knowledge and experience with younger generation through meaningful engagement, on this forum. The HSE Managers, HSE officers, HSE supervisors etc of today face so many challenges at work place. Their day to day working and delivering output to the satisfaction of their seniors and their Managers is at times difficult.

This noble profession of HSE has many inherent conflict of interest issues with those site Personnel, who want to somehow wish to complete their targets early, bypassing all safety rules/regulations, taking shortcuts, bypassing SOPs etc, without realising the consequences. Under such circumstances, the young Safety Officer/Safety Manager, who is seen as villain, loses confidence in him/her. Sometimes, being at the lower hierarchy level Safety Officer/Safety Manager is bull dozed or by passed by senior official, without weighing the outcome of such action. Under those circumstances, it is necessary that Safety Professionals get guidance from senior professionals, who have spent years working at sites and come over those issues successfully. This society provides that opportunity of regular interaction between Experienced and young professionals, to facilitate exchange of views, which helps in resolving day to day difficulties of such young professionals, as mentioned above.

Through this forum of i-HSE society, I invite all HSE Professionals to come-together, share their experiences, resolve the problems faced by young professionals, share their knoweldge, technical expertise etc. We will have regular publication of e-news letter and sharing of case-studies for learning, beside so many other resources. Society will always be open and democratic to incorporate your views, hear out your problems and resolve the issues through consultation and deliberations.

On behalf of Indian Society of HSE Professionals, governing body, I encourage you to obtain membership of this unique society, if not already done and advice your colleagues and friends to do the same. The details of types of memberships, joining fees, terms and conditions etc can be seen at our website https://www.i-hse.org
